The Lie Collector

In 1944 Tennessee, life for Lucy Mercer is mapped out to perfection.  When the war ends and her brothers are discharged from military service, she will marry her high-school sweetheart, close friend, and neighbor, Greg Carmichael, who lives on the adjacent farm.  

But on the night that cements their engagement, Greg stuns everyone when he announces that for a few months, he will go to work within a “secret city” in the new city of Oak Ridge, TN.  Greg leaves to make money for Lucy’s and his future, but within months, he disappears without a trace.
